THE PRAD – only available at PROComm
So successful has PROComm been at marrying public relations and advertising, that Managing Director Jean Lowrie-Chin, has coined a new word – PRAD – to describe the approach which has generated much success for her clients.
With an emphasis on community outreach and creative marketing initiatives, we have created an advantageous and cutting-edge image for our clients.
According to PROComm’s Managing Director, the PRAD refers to the seamless symphony of public relations, marketing and advertising, which has provided clients with a huge footprint in the market, utilising reasonable budgets. “The most outstanding testimony of the successful application of the PRAD concept,” says Lowrie-Chin, “is the work we have done for the LASCO Group, which we have served for the past 18 years."
Some examples of the PRAD Approach applied to the LASCO Group are:
- The LASCO Corporate or ‘Ambassadorial’ Programmes, conceptualized by PROComm and implemented on an ongoing annual basis. These include the Teacher, Principal, Police Officer and Nurse of the Year Awards. In addition, LASCO partners with NAJ for the annual celebration of National Nurses’ week and International Nurses’ Day.
The earliest LASCO Ambassadorial Programme, ‘LASCO Teacher of the Year Awards’ began in 1998 and pays tribute to teachers who give outstanding service to the profession and to nation building.
- The production of LASCO CONNECT, a weekly radio programme on Hot 102FM, which provides relevant information that the consumer can use, as well as features interviews about LASCO products, services and outreach activities. The programme enjoys top listenership in its time slot for that broadcast media.
These programmes, and others, conceptualized by PROComm, have not only provided our clients with positive publicity, but have also helped to uplift and affirm patriotic Jamaicans who are active in community development.
PROComm is proud of its clients’ track record. Only recently, CVM TV presented the CVM TV People’s Awards to the individuals and institutions most admired by members of the public during the last fifteen years. An islandwide poll conducted by Market Research Services Ltd. selected Honourable Lascelles Chin, Chairman and CEO of the LASCO Group as the Most Admired Business Leader. Other PROComm clients, Digicel and Food for the Poor, were also recognised and named the Most Admired Non-Financial Company and Most Admired Charitable Organisation.
